History

Vsevolod Kozhemiako has founded the East Ukrainian agro-industrial company, which was later renamed into AGROTRADE Group. The main direction of economic activity at the first stage of development was grain trade.

AGROTRADE has begun to form its own network of elevators. The Group has purchased elevators in Hadiach, Zachepylivka and Kolomak and started grain harvesting activities.

AGROTRADE Group has been actively developing its grain elevator business and trading direction and has taken a prominent place in the domestic and foreign grain trading markets. During this period the company has bought elevators in Blyzniuky, Vorozhba, as well as the grain-collecting station "Doch-Khlib".

AGROTRADE Group has started a new direction of activities - crop production. The company has leased the first 3 thousand hectares of land on the basis of the "SK-Agro" enterprise in Sumy region.

AGROTRADE Group has been developing crop production and expanding the area of leased land to 26 thousand hectares. Several seed farms have been established in order to provide AGROTRADE Group's agricultural enterprises with seeds of own production.

Crop production has become a priority area of business for AGROTRADE Group. Due to the acquisition of enterprises in the Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava and Chernihiv regions, the holding's land bank has increased to 65 thousand hectares during 4 years.

The Group has built and put into operation the first stage of the Chernihiv Elevator in Velyka Doch village of Borzna district in Chernihiv region. Now total storage capacity of Chernihiv elevator is 48 thousand tonns.

The seed production business has also continued to develop. On the basis of seed farms in the Kharkiv region, AGROTRADE Group has built and put into operation the Kolos seed plant.

The system of control of the performed works and monitoring of the state of the land is introduced. The monitoring of agronomic and accounting processes has started based on Cropio system.

AGROTRADE Group has founded a new sector of organic farming and received the first relevant certificates. The area of the land bank has increased to 70 thousand hectares. 2.5 thousand of them have been allocated for organic farming.

AGROTRADE Group has commercialized its own brand of seed material - Agroseeds. The company has grown hybrids and varieties from world leaders from France, Austria and Germany.
