AGROTRADE Group demands rebuttal of the defamation published online by "Komsomolskaya Pravda in Ukraine"


On February 8, 2016 (2361) material "Samopomich feeds off offshore" was published on the newspaper website. The story contained defamatory statements against AGROTRADE Group and its CEO Vsevolod Kozhemyako, that denigrates reputation, honor and dignity of Vsevolod Kozhemyako and his company.

The material reveals accusations towards laundering the budget, bringing funds offshore and tax evasion, as well as "dirty" financial inflows into Kharkov "Samopomich".

Vsevolod Kozhemyako claims that statements published online on "Komsomolskaya Pravda in Ukraine" website, are distorted and untrue. The structure of the company is public for 10 years, it is not a secret and is not a subject to manipulate public opinion. In addition, the company regularly conducts international audit, and commencing 2012, raises EBRD funds which is a proof of transparent financial and economic activity.

AGROTRADE is one of the leading companies in the agricultural sector of Ukraine and one of the largest taxpayers. During 2015 AGROTRADE has paid about 70 million in tax to the state budget.

Until recently, Vsevolod Kozhemyako was known mainly as an agri businessman. After the events that shook Ukraine, he moved beyond the usual activities became known as a public activist and volunteer. Vsevolod Kozhemyako has never been affiliated to any political party nor he held senior positions in the government. However, he is loyal to "Samopomich", what he has repeatedly stated openly and in public. But he has no relation to any funding activities of Kharkiv branch of this political party.

Upon dissemination of misleading information, V. Kozhemyako demands rebuttal from website "Komsomolskaya Pravda in Ukraine" and indicates openness to dialogue.
